Please note that the drop in gym savings applies to members (main member and spouse) with Virgin Active Club Planet Fitness Local and KeyFIT Club memberships.

If you don't work out at the gym at least 36 times in a rolling 12-month period, your gym benefit will fall away. You can re-join the gym within 30 days of the cancellation date and you won't pay an activation or tag fee.Once you join again, the post-2010 rules will apply to you. You can find out more by reading the T's and C's on the Discovery website.
To start, you'll get 50% off your monthly gym fee, and as soon as you reach 36 workouts in a rolling 12-month period (taking your past training history into account), you'll get up to 75% off.
To view your gym workouts in the last 12 months, go to your Vitality Gym Tracker by logging into www.discovery.co.za > Vitality > Gym tracker or the Discovery app.
Your workouts to the gym can take up to four days to reflect on the Vitality Gym Tracker.
Your rolling 12-month period starts from your benefit start date. If you activate between the 1st and 15th of the month, your benefit start date will be the 1st of that month. If you activate from the 16th to the end of the month, your start date will be the 1st of the following month.
At the end of your first year of using the Vitality Gym Benefit, we count your workouts to check that you have been to the gym 36 times in those 12 months. From then on, at the end of every month, we count back 12 months to find your total number of gym workouts during that period.
For example: If you joined the health club on 1 June 2022 your first 12-month cycle is from 1 June 2022 to 31 May 2023.
Discovery Bank clients
As a Discovery Bank client with a Vitality Health or KeyFIT membership, you can activate your Virgin Active membership through the Discovery app as shown below:
- Log in to the latest version of Discovery app.
- Tap on Vitality at the bottom of the portfolio screen.
- Scroll down to Your benefits and partners and tap on Learn more on the Pay Less for gym card.
- Choose your gym membership type.
- Select your province and primary club.
- Verify your personal details and then tap on Confirm.
- Grant Vitality permission to share your data with Virgin Active.
- Verify all your details.
- Tap on Activate to process you your activation.
Vitality members without a qualifying Discovery Bank account:
- Choose a health club.
- Call Virgin Active on 0860 200 911 or visit their website at www.virginactive.co.za.
- Visit the club and sign a contract.
- Virgin Active members (including Virgin Active Premier and Collection members) now pay an activation fee equivalent the lesser of R699 or the one month retail rate dependent on the membership chosen.
- However, Vitality 65+ members do not pay an activation fee to join Virgin Active. They will also have access to specialised classes tailored to members 65 years or older. Please note, the Vitality 65+ gym benefit is available to Vitality 65+ members on full Vitality and is not available to KeyFIT members.
- Pay the club access device fee of R125.
- Show your Discovery Health membership card, or if you are a Vitality member through Discovery Life, provide your ID.
- Provide your banking details for your monthly debit order.
If you joined Virgin Active on or after 1 January 2010:
- You pay the once-off activation fee (equivalent to the lesser of R699 or the one month retail rate dependent on the membership chosen). However, Vitality 65+ members do not pay an activation fee to join Virgin Active. They will also have access to specialised classes tailored to members 65 years or older.

- You will pay a Club access device fee of R125.

The Vitality Active gym benefit is exclusive to a Virgin Active club membership.

Discovery Bank clients
As a Discovery Bank client with a Vitality Health membership, you can activate your Planet Fitness membership through the Discovery app as shown below:
- Log in to the latest version of Discovery app.

- Planet Fitness members (including Planet Fitness National or Signature members) now pay an activation fee equivalent to the lesser of R699 or the one month retail rate dependent on the membership chosen.
- However, Vitality 65+ members do not pay an activation fee to join Planet Fitness. They will also have access to specialised classes tailored to members 65 years or older. Please note, the Vitality 65+ gym benefit is available to Vitality 65+ members on full Vitality and is not available to KeyFIT members.
- Pay the club access tag fee of R150.
- If you lose your tag, a reactivation fee will apply.
- Show your Discovery Health membership card, or if you are a Vitality member through Discovery Life, provide your ID. Your joining process will be completed electronically a consultant.
- Provide your banking details for your monthly debit order.
All Planet Fitness gym memberships are excluded from the gym benefit through Vitality Active. Refer to the Virgin Active FAQ's for more information on the gym benefit through Vitality Active.
If you joined or will join Planet Fitness from 1 January 2010:
- You pay the once-off activation fee (equivalent to the lesser of R699 or the one month retail rate dependent on the membership chosen).
- However, Vitality 65+ members do not pay an activation fee to join Planet Fitness. They will also have access to specialised classes tailored to members 65 and older.
- Tag fee is R150. If you have lost your tag, a reactivation fee will still apply.

Go to your Vitality Gym Tracker by logging in to www.discovery.co.za > Vitality > Gym tracker. This feature is only visible to members with an active Vitality Gym Benefit. Please allow up to four days for your recent gym workouts to reflect.
To keep your maximum Vitality gym saving at Virgin Active or Planet Fitness, you must work out at the gym at least 36 times in a rolling 12-month period. This is a minimum of three times a month. Only one gym workout a day counts towards this total workout requirement.
Adults earn a minimum of 100 Vitality Health points for one gym workout a day, up to a maximum of 30 000 Vitality Health points a year (for each member), based on your fitness points cap or subject to the additional adult dependant's cap of 25 000 points for a policy each year for all additional adult dependants. Remember to always take your gym access card or tag. We record workouts at the turnstile. If the turnstile is not working, ask to sign the manual register at the reception.

Vitality Health members 18 years and older have access to Moove Motion Fitness Clubs at reduced rates and earn Vitality Fitness points for workouts at Moove Motion Fitness Clubs. Moove Motion Fitness Clubs are available at these locations.
As a Vitality member you will have access to:
* A Vitality Moove Monthly gym benefit which gives members a 50% saving on their standard monthly gym membership fees and access to a 25% saving on Fit Passes.
AND
* A Vitality Moove PayAsYouGo (PAYG) benefit which gives members access to a 25% saving when purchasing Fit Passes.

Adult Vitality members can each earn 100 Vitality fitness points for one workout a day at a Moove Motion Fitness club - up to a maximum of 30 000 Vitality fitness points a year for each member.

Record your workouts on the Vitality iPad application each time you work out at the club
For the workout to be considered valid for the purposes of this benefit, the Vitality member must exercise for longer than 30 minutes during each visit at their chosen Moove fitness facility.
If you already have a Moove retail gym contract without the Vitality Moove gym benefit, you can activate the Vitality Moove gym benefit by signing up for one of the qualifying gym contracts and following the activation steps.
Visit your Moove Motion Fitness club to find out if you are eligible to upgrade your membership to a Vitality membership.
If you are eligible, your Moove Motion Fitness club will place you onto a Vitality membership.
You will then get 50% off the monthly gym fees.
To start earning Vitality fitness points, capture your personal details as mentioned above on the Vitality iPad application located in the club once your workout is complete.
Vitality members on the Vitality gym benefit with Virgin Active or Planet Fitness qualify for the Vitality Moove gym benefit as well.

- Tap the link to download the Playtomic app and register an account.
- Confirm your email address and make sure it matches the one you used to register on Playtomic.
- Make a booking at any of our padel partners in the Playtomic app and get an automatic upfront 20% discount.
- Already on the Playtomic app? Simply use the email address you used to register on Playtomic when you activate the Discovery Vitality Padel benefit in the Discovery app. Once the benefit is activated, you will receive a confirmation email for each branch within our padel network, confirming access.
You can visit the Playtomic website to access the list of padel facilities. To ensure you receive your discount, make sure the court you are booking is part of our padel network. Spot a Discovery Vitality padel partner by looking for the Vitality Indicator.
You can earn 100 Vitality points when you play padel for 30 minutes or longer - simply scan the QR code at the venue.

Your email address stored with Discovery Vitality is your unique identifier for accessing the Discovery Vitality Padel benefit. Changing your email address on the Playtomic app will affect your benefit discount. To ensure your discount remains intact, you can update your email address with us online by clicking here. The Discovery Vitality Padel benefit is independent of any padel club discounts and cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts or promotions.
Playtomic is used for multiple facilities that do not offer discounted rates. However, you can see your Discovery Vitality Padel benefit discount on the Discovery app under 'Your benefits and partners'.
Your discount will not be applied in the following scenarios:
- Your Discovery Vitality Padel benefit has ended.
- Your Discovery Vitality Padel benefit is active, but you have changed your email address on the Playtomic app and it does not match the one Discovery Vitality has on record.
The benefit creates a discounted offering for members, and any aspects related to the transactioon, such as refunds or cancellactions of sessions, will need to be managed between the member and the facilities.
Once the benefit is activated, you will receive a confirmation email for each branch within our Discovery Vitality padel network, confirming access to each of the branches.
